Content creators can create an Evaluation Question regarding the users' learning and add it to the course content. The Instructors/managers/training managers can grade and answer the question, providing feedback on users' learning. Moreover, the evaluation may be added at the end of a course and function as a step in a Learning Path and/or as part of a certificate's pre-requisites.
Best Practices
When using this feature, bear in mind that the evaluations (text and score) will be visible to the learners. If you wish to hide them from learners, you may create the evaluation question in a separate content item and Lock it. You may keep it locked for internal evaluation or decide to unlock the content item to allow the learner to see the evaluation.
Creating an evaluation question
- Create a new content item or open an exciting one
- Add a Text Response question.
- In the question settings, enable the Evaluation Question checkbox.
- If you wish to allow the instructor to set a score for this question (and not just a text evaluation), also enable Manual Score.
Answering an evaluation question
As an instructor, open the Single Learner or Single Question report of the content item and enter your score and evaluation.
Attaching a supporting file (e.g. video/image)
To add a file that supports your evaluation, use the attach file option in the rich text toolbar.
You may attach one or more files, and they will be combined as links embedded in the text of your evaluation.
