Resetting a content item for a learner can be useful especially when the learner did not reach the minimum requirements of a learning path for proceeding to the next item in the course structure, and you want to give them a chance to have another go at that content item and proceed with the course. This action can be done by accessing a course's report and manually resetting the content item for a specific learner.
Bear In Mind:
The content item reset clears all of the answers in the activity.
Resetting the Completion of a content item
- Go to Reports, by clicking on the
icon.
- Select the specific content item under Content Name.
- Select Multiple Learner Report under Report Type.
- Locate the learner to be reset for that specific content item. When hovering over the learner's line, you will see a reset icon
- clicking on it will reset the learner's progress and score of that specific content item, and will let them redo that content item from scratch.
NOTE: Resetting a content item that a learner has already completed will alter the learner's overall course status from "completed" to either "in progress" or "not started".
