While enabley offers rich interactive content creation tools within the platform itself, in some cases, you might want to combine them in your course or stream interactive content packages that have been developed in an external content authoring tool.
Uploading SCORM packages into enabley is very simple:
- In the content item editor, click on Add Content, Import, and select a zipped SCORM package from your device.
- Alternatively - if you are on the first page of the content item, you can drag your zipped SCORM file and drop it into the import content area.
- Let the SCORM file finish uploading and processing.
- Once the file processing is completed, the entire SCORM activity is inserted as an independent page within the enabley content item.
From this point onwards, the content item can be further enriched with additional pages before and after the SCORM, combining content from additional sources and formats (including other SCORM packages) as well as adding interactions and creating content from scratch - just like you would do with any enabley content item.
NOTES
- Regarding compatibility, it is important to ensure that your SCORM file is packaged by the external content authoring tool in SCORM 2004 format (preferred) or SCORM 1.2.
- Make sure to upload to enabley the ZIP file that you exported from your content authoring tool (do not re-compress it in another folder, just upload it as-is).
- If you cannot see the completion and/or score of the SCORM in enabley reports, make sure in the content authoring tool to select the option to include "reporting" in the packaged SCORM.
- To let learners resume their last position in the SCORM activity, this setting should be turned on in the content authoring tool when exporting to SCORM.
