As a content creator, you can upload many types of files to your content item: PPTX, PDF, ZIP (SCORM), MOV, MP3, MP4, DOCX, XLSX, PNG/JPG, and more.
To ensure a smooth experience for your learners and support all kinds of devices and network connections, it is advisable to break your content into small chunks (which is recommended for pedagogical reasons).
Maximum filesize (per file type)
- MP4– 500 MB
- MOV– 150 MB
- MP3– 10 MB
- PPTX & PPT– 100 MB
- DOC– 10 MB
- XLSX– 10 MB
- M4A– 10 MB
- WAV– 10 MB
If you need to increase the capacity for one of these file types, please reach out to your Customer Success Manager.
Maximum pages/slides per upload
When importing PowerPoint slides or PDF documents to be embedded within your content item, a maximum of 100 pages/slides may be imported per import.
In case more than 100 pages/slides are selected, the first 100 will be imported:
NOTE: For PDF files, we strongly recommend uploading a “flattened” PDF format (i.e., PDF files with no transparency information or any additional layer). This will ensure proper compatibility for mobile users, as some mobile devices face difficulties handling complex PDF files with embedded vectorized images and text layers.

The file types allowed for upload within questions have been selected to facilitate a rich interactive experience and include:
Image files: jpg, jpeg, pjp, pjpeg, jfif, webp, gif, png, bmp, tiff, xbm, ico, svg
Audio files: mp3, mpeg, ogg, wav, m4a
Video files: mp4, mov
Document files: pdf, ppt, pptx, doc, docx, xls, xlsx
Compressed files: zip
