When setting up a certificate for a specific course, you have the option to set its expiration date. Learners' certificates that exceeded their expiration date will still be visible, however will no longer be valid.
You can tell that a certificate is about to expire by the My Certifications bar. Three weeks before the expiration date, an orange alert will come through saying that your certificate is about to expire, and when the due date arrives, the alert changes its color to red.
NOTE
The Certifications bar will be prompted to the top of your dashboard once the expiration indication is triggered.
Renewing Certificates
When a certificate is about to expire or has already expired, you may renew it by manually resetting your course and re-taking it at your own time, without having to contact your Instructor or Training Manager.
To do that, open the My Certifications menu, where you will find all your certificates:
Then select the certificate you want to renew and press the Renew Certification button:
A confirmation pop-up will come up, and confirming it will reset your course:
After confirming, your expired certificate will remain in place until you successfully complete the course. Only then a new and valid certificate will be issued.
